What key social, economic, environmental, technological, and political shifts do you believe will shape planning and the planning profession in the years to come?

We would like to hear your perspective.

As the world becomes increasingly complex and unpredictable, foresight has become an important aspect of planning for the future.

To that end, PIA is embarking on a whole of profession strategic foresight project. We invite planners, policymakers, academics, and other professionals working in the planning field to share their perspectives.

Here’s how you can participate in the PIA Foresight survey.

What's the survey for?

The survey is designed to identify key shifts that the profession and affiliates believe will shape the planning profession now and into the future. These will provide a bellwether of sentiment about how related opportunities and challenges could shape government and industry priorities over the coming years.

Why your views matter

The results will be used to inform the PIA Foresight Report. Your participation will be a valuable addition to our research. It will contribute to greater public understanding of the trends, changes and innovations that will shape the future of the planning profession and impact PIA policies and advocacy agenda.

Participate now

We look forward to your participation in what we believe is timely and much-needed research. Any questions, please direct them to the National General Manager, Karen Goldsmith, here. The survey closes COB Friday 10 November.
