About WPN

TAS WPN Convenor - Poppy Scharkie PIA (Assoc.)

WPN formed as a not-for-profit organisation in 1994 to promote the role and interests of women in the planning and development industry. In the years since then, we have delivered research, programs, events and support to benefit women involved in planning and allied professions.

We have seen a transformation with more women in senior roles and working in the planning and development industries. Today, women enjoy a higher profile in the profession and many women involved in the network hold senior positions.

Can I be involved?

There are many ways you can become involved in the WPN. What is it you are passionate about? Would you like to be involved in organising and/or running one of our events or programs? Would you like to write a piece for PIA? There is no formal membership to the network, but committee members must be current members of PIA.
