- BRIEFING
- 1 CPD POINT
Yarra Ranges Shire Council has led the development of a world-first online tool that uses generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to improve the quality of planning applications, increase customer understanding of planning rules, reduce assessment timeframes, and reduce the planner workload for basic enquiries and requests for further information.
The new self-service Digital Planning Enquiry tool, MyLot, was built in Victoria with funding from the Department of Transport and Planning and has been designed to work for all Councils across Victoria. MyLot enables customers to freely input information about their residential project via text or talk, intuitively navigate complex planning rules and speed up the preparation of assessment-ready applications.
You are encouraged to attend this lunchtime seminar to see how the tool provides tailored guidance for applicants and links directly to the Planning Scheme, enabling transparency in the reasoning and advice to customers, complying with the Australian Government AI Ethics Framework.
