About
Our long running and successful bushfire management course hosted again at the South Australian Country Fire Service (SA CFS) State Headquarters in Keswick returns this year. With our expert panel of presenters taking planners through land use planning and bushfire management, you will have first-hand exposure to fire-fighting equipment and appliance, including, a Virtual Reality (VR) bushfire experience, developed by the University of South Australia (UNISA) and SA CFS.
This professional development event will allow planners to learn more about bushfire behaviour and highlight the key linkages between land use planning and bushfire management. This session will provide planners with increased confidence and knowledge when assessing development or developing planning policy within a High Bushfire Risk Overlay and re-count recent bushfire events and lessons learned about how buildings performed in a bushfire event.
