This notice is given by the Planning Institute of Australia ACN 151 601 937 pursuant to section 110K of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (“the Act”).

In relation to the Documents listed below, PIA Members (Full Member, Registered Planner, Fellow or Life Fellow) have a right to:

  • choose to receive these Documents from us in physical or electronic form; or
  • choose not to receive these Documents.

The Documents are:

  • documents about meetings of Members, such as a notice of meeting and proxy form;
  • the Financial Report (which includes the financial accounts, directors’ report and auditor’s report for the relevant financial year);
  • invitations to nominate for office bearers and voting forms for those elections;
  • any other documents specified in regulations for the purpose of section 110K (Obligation to give notice of members’ rights) of the Act.

PIA Member choices

You can tell us if you want to:

  • be sent Documents in physical form or electronic form;
  • opt out of receiving Documents listed above.

You can always ask us to send any particular Document to you in physical or electronic form – just get in touch. You can also tell us if your preference applies to all the Documents or just to a specified class(es) of Documents.

How to choose

We encourage all Members to receive Documents electronically so you can stay updated and engaged. It also helps the environment by minimising paper. The default method for anyone with an email address is electronic.

To toggle between electronic and physical mail preferences log in to the PIA website and update your subscription settings (Company Documents section).
