Co-Convenors

Co-Convenor | Lucy O'Malley MPIA
Lucy, an urbanist at Ethos Urban, works across both statutory and strategic planning in QLD, NSW and the ACT. Lucy has a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (Hons I) from the University of Queensland. She has a strong and adaptive skill set which, has made her solutions focused when undertaking development applications and strategic planning projects across the country. Lucy is further developing her skills in community engagement. She utilises her foundation in planning to educate and communicate with members of industry, government and the community key messages and intents of projects and policy in an accessible and clear way. In 2024 Lucy is further developing these skills in her role as Co-Convenor of the Queensland Young Planners Committee.
Co-Convenor |Cameron See MPIA
Cameron See is a Consultant at Urbis (Gold Coast) and Co-Convenor of the Queensland Young Planners. He works primarily in statutory planning, with a particular interest in residential projects. Cameron graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelors of Regional and Town Planning (Hons I) in 2021.

Industry Lead | Ben Bragagnolo PIA (Assoc.)
Ben Bragagnolo is an Urban Planner at Brisbane City Council working toward the Olympic and Paralympic Games Brisbane 2032 and Industry Lead for Queensland Young Planners.
Students Lead | Emma Gurney PIA (Assoc.)
Emma is a Planner within the RPS SEQ team and also serves as the Student Lead for Queensland Young Planners. Her passion lies in renewable industries, particularly solar, wind, and energy storage projects, alongside her involvement in masterplanned residential developments like Greater Flagstone and The Quarry at Keperra.
Social Media & Marketing Lead | Meg Luton PIA (Assoc.)
Meg is currently working as an Urbanist at Ethos Urban. She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in July 2022 with a Bachelor of Urban Development (Honours) (Urban and Regional Planning) with First Class Honours. Prior to employment at Ethos Urban, Meg worked at two of Brisbane’s leading private firms, gaining invaluable experience working alongside industry professionals. She has developed strong statutory skills across a range of sectors, completing many development applications of various scale, predominantly across South-East Queensland and New South Wales. Meg is enthusiastic about working with universities to help guide the next generation of urban planners through their academic journeys, and assist with the transition between university and the industry. She has volunteered at and presented at several sessions and events at QUT and UQ, with aspirations to broaden this impact. Meg is also a passionate advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) within the workplace and the industry. As a member of her company's DE&I committee, Meg aims to foster change and a more inclusive environment within her immediate surrounds and the wider build environment profession.
Mentoring Lead | Anuradha Roy PIA (Assoc.)
Anuradha (Anne) Roy is a skilled researcher and a Graduate Urban Planner with experience in transport and strategic planning. She started her career as a Cadet Transport Planner in her last year of studies and currently works with the City of Gold Coast in the Strategic Planning Department. In addition to this, she is also the QYP’s Mentoring Lead. Anne advocates and supports active transportation and is passionate about making cities a pedestrian and cycle-friendly community.

Lawson Costello PIA (Assoc.)
Lawson is a town planner at the Queensland Government's Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works. Lawson is passionate about driving economic growth and enabling well-planned, inclusive and resilient local communities through his work in plan making, community engagement and development assessment. Lawson joined the QYP committee in 2024 with a focus on engaging with fellow planners working across regional Queensland.

Mina Ghani PIA (Assoc.)
A passionate Urban Planner with professional experience in both the private and public sectors. Striving to enhance quality of life for residents. She works in Livingstone Shire council as planning officer.

Lauren Hall PIA (Assoc.)
My name is Lauren, I'm a committee member of QYP, third year BRTP student at the University of Queensland, and a Transport Planning Intern at GHD. Although I am very early into my career, I've found a passion for sustainable transport systems in my work and engaging with the wider planning community outside it. I'm looking forward to achieving the latter with QYP this year!
Kelly Ko PIA (Assoc.)
Kelly is a Town Planner at PSA Consulting and became a member of the PIA Queensland Young Planners committee in August 2024. Engaging in a variety of planning projects, Kelly has gained experience in strategic planning, land use planning, development approvals, and a touch of transport planning. Kelly would like to continue her interest in the various areas of planning and aim to connect with likeminded planners (and planning students) who share a passion for planning and may also enjoy talking about the highlight of places they have been to. Additionally, Kelly is part of the general QYP committee team, either shadowing the leads of the committee or leading an event where required.
Renee Livingstone MPIA
Renee is a Senior Urbanist at Ethos Urban with experience working across the Private Sector, State Government and Local Government. She holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from the Queensland University of Technology where she graduated with First Class Honours in 2019. Renee works on a variety of statutory and strategic planning projects across Australia and is particularly interested in planning for resilience and creating sustainable communities. Renee is an advocate for young planners, particularly those seeking professional development opportunities. She is passionate about bridging the gap between emerging professionals and the broader Built Environment industry. Renee has helped spearhead The Built Forum networking group; connecting planners, architects, project managers, development managers and project advisors, to create meaningful connections and sharpen their skills in a supported environment.
Francis Nguyen PIA (Assoc.)
Hey everyone, I am Francis and I am currently in my second term as a general committee member which entails being a helpful helper in the following up or during an event! I currently work in Brisbane City Council as an Urban Planner in the Infrastructure Charges team and the constant changes and learning from planning is what makes this space exciting!
Max Shadforth PIA (Assoc.)
Max is a Town Planner at ADAMS + SPARKES Town Planning on the Sunshine Coast. He enjoys being on a small and talented team working through the vast variety of applications for the growing region. Starting in Marine Structures, Max has slowly progressed his way through DA Planning in all aspects of development.
Felix Wong PIA (Assoc.)
Felix Wong is a Planning Office in the Planning Group of the Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works. He is also a QYP committee member and enjoys reading outside of work.
